The last living Montreal Expo

Posted by Andy
Over on the suggestions thread, there are some discussions about the last living player for some long-extinct franchises such as the Boston Bees or the Brooklyn Dodgers. To some of you readers, these franchises might not really register.

But here's something neat to think about--years and years from now, somebody will be talking about the last living person to have played for the Montreal Expos. After the 2004 season, the Expos packed up and relocated to Washington DC, becoming the Nationals.

Can you think of who it might be? Click through for some possibilities.

These are the 25 players born in 1978 or later to have played for the Expos while they were still based in Montreal. These 25 guys are all still alive, thankfully. (The most recent deceased players to appear for the Expos are Hideki Irabu, Ivan Calderon, Roy Johnson, and Rick Mahler.)

Anyway, it's probable that one of these 25 guys will be the last living Expo one day--probably sometime in the late 2060's or early 2070s.

How's that for a blast from the future?
