Of those 25 guys, though, there are only 3 who also put up at least 8 great defensive seasons, with at least 10 Rfield, or Fielding Runs.
I'll give you Willie Mays and Barry Bonds, but can you name the third?

Mike Schmidt is the third player. Interestingly, though, he doesn't rank all that high on the career Fielding Runs list for guys to play mainly third base:
Rk | Player | Rfield | From | To | Age | G |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
1 | Brooks Robinson | 292 | 1955 | 1977 | 18-40 | 2896 |
2 | Buddy Bell | 174 | 1972 | 1989 | 20-37 | 2405 |
3 | Robin Ventura | 163 | 1989 | 2004 | 21-36 | 2079 |
4 | Clete Boyer | 160 | 1955 | 1971 | 18-34 | 1725 |
5 | Scott Rolen | 147 | 1996 | 2011 | 21-36 | 1946 |
6 | Graig Nettles | 141 | 1967 | 1988 | 22-43 | 2700 |
7 | Mike Schmidt | 128 | 1972 | 1989 | 22-39 | 2404 |
8 | Gary Gaetti | 127 | 1981 | 2000 | 22-41 | 2507 |
9 | Adrian Beltre | 115 | 1998 | 2011 | 19-32 | 1959 |
10 | Lee Tannehill | 113 | 1903 | 1912 | 22-31 | 1090 |
I guess Schmidt was steady over a long period of time but some other guys put up a few bigger single-season numbers.
