The Texas Rangers are the last team to lose back-to-back World Series since...

...do you know which team?
It was the 1991-1992 Braves who lost to the Twins and the Blue Jays.

Prior to that, it was the 1977-1978 Dodgers who lost each year to the Yankees.

Could the Rangers be the next Buffalo Bills, who lost the 1990, 1991, 1992, and 1993 Super Bowls.

Let's see...the Buffalo Bills were named after the AAFC Buffalo Bills, who were themselves named after Buffalo Bill Cody. Wikipedia says Cody was "a United States soldier, bison hunter and showman."

The Texas Rangers, meanwhile, are "a law enforcement agency with statewide jurisdiction in Texas."

So, both teams are named after guys toting guns...hmm....
